S ponosom i ogromnom radošću želimo da podelimo sa vama neverovatnu vest: osvojile smo prvo mesto u kategoriji „Women in Action“ na prestižnom projektu „Women of Europe“, koje organizuju i dodeljuju European Movement International i European Women’s Lobby. Ovo je priznanje za naš rad, našu borbu i našu hrabrost, a ujedno i dokaz da su naše vrednosti i napori prepoznati na evropskom nivou.

Ova nagrada je za nas mnogo više od trofeja – ona je simbol svih onih neprospavanih noći, izazova i borbe kroz koje smo prošle. Zahvalne smo European Movement International i European Women’s Lobby što su prepoznali naš rad i hrabrost da se suočimo s izazovima u borbi za prava žena. Ovo priznanje dolazi kao kruna dugih meseci borbe, ulaganja energije i truda u stvaranje boljeg i sigurnijeg sveta za sve žene.

Ne samo da smo zahvalne na nagradi, već i na predivnom iskustvu koje smo imale tokom ceremonije dodele u Briselu. Ljubaznost, srdačnost i toplina koju smo osetile od strane organizatora i organizatorki i drugih učesnika/ca su nas duboko dirnule i motivisale za dalji rad.

Tokom ceremonije, imale smo priliku da upoznamo ljude iz različitih evropskih država – od aktivista i aktivistkinja do predstavnika/ca evropskih institucija poput Evropske komisije i Evropskog parlamenta. Svi su nam prilazili s divljenjem, sa željom da nas upoznaju i čuju više o našem radu.

Ta podrška i pohvale su nam dale dodatnu snagu i motivaciju da nastavimo dalje.

Takođe, ovo putovanje nam je donelo nova poznanstva i potencijalne saradnje, ali i nova prijateljstva koja ćemo zauvek negovati.

Evropa prepoznaje naš rad, ali šta je sa našim institucijama?

Ova nagrada ima posebnu težinu jer dolazi u trenutku kada često nismo dobile zasluženo priznanje od naših institucija. Iako smo razočarane što domaće institucije nisu prepoznale naš trud i doprinos, ova nagrada iz Evrope nam jasno pokazuje da naša borba nije uzaludna. Evropa ceni našu hrabrost, posvećenost i istrajnost.

Nastavljamo dalje – za Balkan i sve žene

Iako smo sada okružene priznanjem i pohvalama, naša borba se ne završava ovde. Nagrada je dodatna motivacija da nastavimo s radom i da se još jače posvetimo unapređenju prava žena, kako u Srbiji tako i širom Balkana. Naš cilj ostaje isti: sigurnije društvo za svaku ženu, bez obzira na izazove.

Ovo priznanje je zajednički uspeh svih nas koji verujemo u pravedniji i ravnopravniji svet. Hvala vam što ste deo našeg puta i što nas podržavate u našoj borbi. Ovo je tek početak, a mi ćemo nastaviti da budemo glas onih koji ga nemaju i da pravimo promene – kako na lokalnom, tako i na evropskom nivou.

Još jednom, hvala svima koji su nas podržali, svima koji veruju u naš rad i svima koji su nam u Briselu pružili priliku da podelimo našu priču. Nastavljamo dalje!

FIRST PLACE IN THE “WOMEN IN ACTION” CATEGORY

With immense pride and joy, we are thrilled to share an incredible piece of news: we have won first place in the “Women in Action” category in the prestigious “Women of Europe” project, organized and awarded by the European Movement International and the European Women’s Lobby. This recognition celebrates our work, our fight, and our courage, while also proving that our values and efforts are acknowledged on a European level.

This award means so much more to us than a trophy—it symbolizes all the sleepless nights, challenges, and struggles we have faced. We are deeply grateful to the European Movement International and the European Women’s Lobby for recognizing our work and our courage in tackling the challenges of advocating for women’s rights. This acknowledgment comes as the culmination of months of hard work, energy, and dedication to creating a better and safer world for all women.

We are not only thankful for the award itself but also for the wonderful experience we had during the award ceremony in Brussels. The kindness, warmth, and hospitality shown by the organizers and other participants deeply touched us and motivated us to continue our work.

During the ceremony, we had the opportunity to meet people from various European countries—activists and representatives from institutions like the European Commission and the European Parliament. Many approached us with admiration, eager to get to know us and learn more about our work. Their support and praise have given us additional strength and motivation to keep moving forward.

This journey also brought us new acquaintances, potential collaborations, and lifelong friendships that we will cherish forever.

Europe recognizes our work, but what about our institutions?

This award carries special weight as it comes at a time when we often haven’t received the deserved recognition from our own institutions. While we are disappointed that domestic institutions have not acknowledged our efforts and contributions, this award from Europe makes it clear that our fight is not in vain. Europe values our courage, dedication, and perseverance.

Moving forward—for the Balkans and all women

Although we are surrounded by recognition and praise now, our fight does not end here. This award is an additional motivation to continue our work and to further dedicate ourselves to advancing women’s rights, both in Serbia and across the Balkans. Our goal remains unchanged: a safer society for every woman, regardless of the challenges.

This recognition is a collective success for all of us who believe in a fairer and more equal world. Thank you for being part of our journey and for supporting us in our fight. This is just the beginning, and we will continue to be the voice for those who do not have one and to drive change—both locally and on a European level.
